View Full Version : Dash/S620: "a" and "z" in contacts

On my HTC S620 (same as T-Mobile Dash), I am not able to search for contacts containing characters "a" and "z" because those keys map to "#" and "*", and they always navigate to first and last contact in Contacts view. Using the FN or Cap modifiers keys have no effect either.

This is a huge usability issue for Contacts on my device. I wonder if it affects Motorola Q as well.

On a unrelated note: is it possible to grey out the past appointments in calendar views? Right now you either see them or you don't.

We are looking at this right now. It does not affect the Q but the HTC S620/Dash/Excaliber is affected. We should have a new build out soon that corrects this issue.

As far as the gray out option under Global Settings there is the option "Text Color". If you change this to "Color by Status" then the colors specified under Color Selection for the various Appointment and Task statuses will be used. If you set Appt: Past (Today) as gray or light blue or some other color that is what will be used.

Thanks for the prompt response. The past-appointment tip works great.

I hope the Contacts view issues can be resolved soon and that the overall performance can be improved a bit. Other than that, I like what I see and I think Agenda One has great potential.

Update/Fix for T-Mobile Dash / HTC S620 / O2 Cosmo

Thank you for your feedback and reporting the issues in regards to the T-Mobile Dash and similar devices.

We have a new update (1.0.3139) which addresses:

- Contact view sorting issue
- Contact view keyboard handling

We experienced something unique on the T-Mobile Dash that was causing the contacts list to not sort your contacts properly.
This has been addressed and is working fine in our testing.

The T-Mobile Dash also exhibits some different keyboard behavior than other Smartphones with keyboards (i.e. the Motorola Q (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=80046#), Samsung i-320). We isolated those differences and the keyboard searching functionality from the Contacts view is now working as expected.

Thank for you patience.

If you are a registered user, you may also apply this update directly from your Smartphone!

- Go to the About Screen in Agenda One (Menu > Options > All Options > About)
- Select Menu > Check for Updates

For those still running the trial version or who prefer to update from the desktop the latest download is also available at http://www.developerone.com/agendaone/download.htm (http://www.developerone.com/agendaone/download.htm)
