one touch phone dialing from contacts

when i open up the contact list is there a way to dial that displayed number immediately? right now if i hit the enter button or dial button it opens that contact. i would expect hitting the dial button would call the contact. i am using a Cingular 2125 w/ WM 5.0 and AgendaOne Verson 1.00.3109.

Whether you choose the nav button or the green phone button, a 2nd press will be necessary to dial the number, there is not a one-press option in the contact view for dialing. For many users, there will be a list of phone numbers, this gives you the option to choose home, work, cell, etc.

can i suggest a change/enhansement to automatically dial when the green phone button is pressed. the user can alway open the contact & select the number using the enter button, but currently the green phone button acts like an enter button.

these devices are meant to be phones first, so having that extra click to make a call i think is significant. also using the right nav button allows us to change the number so really opening the contact isn't even necessary.

Thanks for the suggestion, keep in mind that selecting the contact method using the right nav button only works when you are not in contact search mode. I will pass on your feedback to the Development Team for consideration.

100% in agreement! This is a major gap from the standard contacts application. I just made a similar post asking for this feature in addition to being able to use the right/left nav keys to cycle through the numbers - just like in the standard app.

Dialing a selected contacts number is far too inefficient in Agenda One.
