I have noticed that when you switch to the calendar daily or agenda view. The next appointment is not highlited, instead the 1st one is. This makes me have to scroll down to the correct appoint. Is there any setting to either have past appointments hidden or the next appointment selected?

Menu - Options - View All Options - Calendar Settings - Past Appointments Today - "Hide" is the option that you need.
