Is there a way to use Category colors in Timeline?

Is there a way to use Category colors in Timeline, instead of Status (busy, out of office, tentative, etc)?

Also in Monthly view, I'd like to display thinner Timelines instead of that "fat" ones (Menu -> Options -> Details -> Timelines).

Thank you for the feedback. We will have to weigh the demand for this option with the desire to keep the application light and easy to configure.
