View Full Version : Agenda One vs. Fusion for WM 5?

I looked all over the website for an answer to this as it seems like an obvious question...but maybe I'm missing something obvious. I'm already running AF on a Treo 700. For WM 5, is there a comparison between Agenda Fusion 8 and Agenda One? I'd like to know what features are in one but not the other.

Can both be installed at the same time? (I wouldn't run them at the same time...AF hogs all the memory anyway so nothing runs at the same time as it).

If I try out and then uninstall Agenda One will it mess up AF?

Does Agenda One support voice recording?

I don't use the projects view at all. I do use voice recording though. On the other hand I've been frustrated by how much space it takes - Does Agenda one use the same amount of space?

Thanks!

Lisa

Agenda Fusion has more features than Agenda One:

Project View
Notes View with Voice Recording
Linking of items
Templates Support
Power Text
Hourly Day View
Hourly Week View
Year View

Agenda One has a great one handed navigation and that makes it very very interesting. I would also like to hear how Developer One positions both products. It seems to me that Agenda One more for the novice user is...

Here is a link that compares Agenda Fusion and Agenda One in more detail:

Both can be installed at the same time as long as you do not try to launch both of them at the same time. Installing one will not uninstall the other and uninstalling one will not uninstall the other.

Agenda One does not prevent voice recording but there is no voice note or alarm note view. Agenda One is less memory intesive than Agenda Fusion and takes up less storage space.

It sounds like Agenda One may be just what I'm looking for! Especially the stylus free operation as I'm often using it one-handed. I don't use the advanced features much anyway, and the smaller footprint would make it worth it (AF dies when anything else is running).

My only issue is that when I got my Treo, the only solution I found for putting voice notes on the side button was Agenda Fusion (I use voice command to say "Start Fusion Voice Note" and it starts recording)...for some reason the built-in didn't work, or I couldn't use it for both voice commands ("Call fred jones") and voice notes. Does anyone happen to know of another way to do this? (I know, not the forum for it but doesn't hurt to ask).

So that leads to my last question:

Both can be installed at the same time as long as you do not try to launch both of them at the same time. Will horrible things happen like data corruption? For example, if I had Agenda One running, and by mistake I decide to record a voice note using Fusion, will it mess something up? (This may be a moot point because AF won't run with other apps anyway, it's too big, so it would probably cause Agenda One to go away).

Thanks so much for your help.

You can run both at the same time, but your device may get low on memory with both running. Install Agenda One to a memory card if you have one. Agenda One will run well from a memory card as Agenda Fusion will not. You will not have data loss or such issues, you may just have poor performance, but again it may work fine. Your best bet is to close one before you run the other.

I have both programs installed and have no issues.

The device could become slower if someone runs both programs at the same time.

I have to say that I have changed my opinion about Agenda One. Yes, it has less features in comparison to Agenda Fusion, but the one handed navigation makes it really unique! I really love it!
Agenda One has become my PIM of choice!

Maybe if Agenda Fusion becomes one handed navigation things will change!
