Month view slow update

I have finally taken the plunge and bought Agenda One for my Treo 750v. Having evaluated what is on the market (PI Calendar, Supercalendar, Papyrus) I feel that Agenda One is the most logical in terms of usability; however, my main gripe (as has been reflected in this forum) is how slow the program updates when switching to Month view.

I apologize for starting a new thread on this but I really want to find out if other users have the same problem that I have faced all along. Every time I switch to Month View, I have to wait for at least a couple of seconds (up to 15-20 seconds) before the screen updates and I can see the appointment count and appointments on the screen. I really believe this is unacceptable, especially since ALL the competing software do not take this long to update the view.

Imagine if you go into Month view to find a date that is not as busy then you press enter to go to the Today view of the date to find out more details. You feel that you cannot fit the appointment in and then want to go back to Month view to choose another date; you change view to Month, takes 20 seconds before the screen updates the information. You can imagine how unproductive this is.

I really want to find out if this is my problem with my phone/appointments or is this something that everyone else is facing. If it is the latter, then I do hope sincerely that the developer would try to address this in future release.

Welcome aboard as a registered user! This is on our list of things to look at, and with most typical data sets the Month View refreshes pretty quickly.

There are certain circumstances that could be optimized such as selecting a day from the Month view for viewing, and returning to the month view without changing or adding any items. In this case and others we probably do not need to do a refresh. Speed, performance and navigation improvements continue to be high priority items that we are addressing.

Sorry to bump this.

But I just wanted to hear from other users whether they are experiencing the same slow updates I get when changing into Month View. I use the Month View a lot to check on which days are open, switch to the day to see the details and then if I can't fit the appointment, switch back to Month View for another day. Everytime I go back to Month View the program takes 10 sec.+ to update the (either appointment count or status icon) for each day of the month. This is just not very productive but I want to know if this is only happening to me (if so, I need to figure out a way to fix it) or this is a general problem.
