A1 feature request(s)

Been using A1 for some time now and loving it... though i've built up a list of features i'd love to see implemented at some point:


I'd love to be able to toggle off the "memory" in contacts view. For example, when i search for a contact, then dial him and go about my business, and come back to contacts later it's still highlighting the previous contact and i have to go the extra steps of clearing the search string before i can look up someone new... 99x out of 100 i am going to be looking for someone new so would like the ability to clear that on exit of the view perhaps?
I'd love the ability to quickly change a tasks due date w/o going into edit. maybe add a "change due date" to the "more" context menu in menu? or even add a "change due date to today" or "change due date to tomorrow" (or next week, next month, whatever).
Lastly, I'd love to be able to choose which contacts w/ associated pictures appear in the left pane of the contacts view, and which order they appear in (is it possible to do this already???) :)

If you use the back button to get back to Contacts View the Search Results will remain. If you were to go to Contacts view with the Contacts soft key or with the View Picker the search results should auto clear.

This is not currently an available option, right now anyone with a picture gets added to the preview. I like the concept, but we might be reluctant to change this because we have worked very hard to get the contacts to load as quickly as possible and adding additional logic to the processing might detract from this performance.

I would like to have an option to show appointments or tasks first in Agenda or Today views. And, an option to show only overdue and tasks due today rather than all tasks in these two views.

We do have these items on our features development list.

Our first priority right now is going through any outstanding reports of issues with Agenda One (there are only a few at this time). Once this is complete, we will re-evaluate the current feature suggestions and start working on those.

I would like to 2 new task icons. 1 for tasks due today, and 1 for past due tasks, so that I could quickly look at my task list and determine which ones need attention today.

That use of the icons would need to be customized by the user, you can assign a category/icon as you stated to the different types of tasks, but this is not something the program can do automatically for you as the task moves from one category to the other, etc.

I would love to see the ability to scroll through 10 and/or 14 days in the Agenda view rather than just the current maximum of 7 days

feature request:

floating option so that todays appts automatically roll over to the next day if not closed/deleted. We wouldnt have to remember to move each appt that wasnt completed each day.

Thank you for the feedback, the developers will consider the option. Currently you can maybe turn that item into a task and set your view to show Overdue Tasks. OR, you can set the Due date in your appointment to None and it will continue to show until you delete it.

I have been using A1 for a short time on my Treo 750 and I really like it. One thing that is very practical for me is the automatic "hyperlinking" of numbers found inside the notes field of Appointments and Tasks. I do miss this feature on the Contacts part of A1. I do realize that the Contacts part is basically using the native WM5 application. Do you intend to develop the Contacts part of A1 further so as to have the same features, like the "hyperlinking" of numbers inside the note fields of Contacts? I say that because I have many contacts that have temporary numbers that I store in the Notes field, not in one of the phone fields. And then it would be great to lookup the Contact from A1 and dial the temporary number stored in the Notes field just like I can do with Appointments and Tasks. Is this something you plan on adding?

Thank you for the feedback. Right now we have our own Contact view but use the built in Contact Viewer and Editor, so the hyperlinking is not an option. It may be something we consider in the future.
