split screen possible?

is there a way to split the screen, so that you always see some tasks and some appts? If not, maybe in a future release?

(for example: the top 1" of the screen would be for tasks, with its own font and scroll bar, then botton 2" could be for appts, again with its own scroll bar. It would be great to be able to set the background color, and font size, seperately between these 2 view areas. This way we could see the first few tasks, and appts, at the same time.)
