how to send calender appointments via sms

Could someone tell me how to send a calender appointment from one smart phone (o2 xda2s)to another smart phone (o2 xda2s).I can send an email but it won't integrate into calendar at the other end.
On my palm this is easy as there is a tab for send via sms.

I don't know of a way of directly bringing in the appointment on the other end via SMS.


We are however experimenting with sending appointments as VCAL entries which works great for emailing an appointment to someone as Outlook will accept the received entry just fine.

I have registered an interest on the beta thread and can't wait to try it out.It seems very silly that my incredibly slow palm can do it but a top of the line smart phone can't.
