View Full Version : Trouble importing wallet

I have a HP IPAQ 111 that I had to send back for repair (The problem was the LCD display). I got it back and am now trying to re-create my data. I redownloaded CodeWallet but cannot get my wallet to import back so that I do not have to re-enter everything. I get all the way to importing and get an error message saying "Unable to import data. There is not enough information or the file is not properly formatted"

When I was trying to figure out what to do when the IPAQ died so that I wasn't completely stuck, I got the trial version of the Desktop Companion so that I could access my wallet and at least have a printed version of all my wallet info.

Please help. Thank you!

What exact version of CodeWallet do you now have installed on the device? What exact version of CodeWallet is installed on your PC?

NOTE -- importing/exporting is not for this purpose, it is for moving data to/from other programs etc. with different formats.

Are you able to use the desktop CodeWallet information at this time? Thank you for clarification of your situation so that we can better assist you.

I have a registered copy of CodeWallet version 6.62 reinstalled on my HP IPAQ 111 and the most recent desktop companion installed on my PC. I cannot use the Desktop Companion because I only downloaded the trial version and the trial period has expired.

Just use your registration Id/code for the desktop version to unlock the trial version so that you can use it.

Unfortunately, I cannot use the registration code for the Desktop version since I did not purchase it. I already tried to use my paid for PDA registration code to open the desktop version but it doesn't work.

I really just want to have what I had before which is CodeWallet on my IPAQ 111 only. I don't want to have to purchase the desktop version since I already bought the PDA version. Would uninstalling and reinstalling do anything?

We can send you a code that will extend the trial version for a week so that you can get the data off the desktop. We will not post that publicly here, so you will need to send us a tech support e-mail to customerservices@developerone.com
