I have a problem with my POWER TASKS. First of all I own a Motorola MPx220 GSM Smart phone with WINDOWS CE. Basically when I open up Power tasks and start imputting a task or anthing I get cancelled out. I checked my phone settings and all settings are at default which would not cause this problems. Any Suggestions..?? I have love this program but without being able to access I HAVE NOT USE FOR IT!!

This same problem was happening with PowerCalendar until the latest version was released. Since the DevOne programmers figured it out with PowerCalendar, I'm hoping they'll do the same here.

(I'm glad I saw this comment - I was one step away from installing PowerTasks but now I'll wait :-)

Cannot even register the program before it kicks me out! I purchased this program and would like to use it. Need fix ASAP!

edit:
I did not have this problem with the trial version...go figure.
System details: Motorola MPx220, Windows Mobile 2003 SE v4.21.1088

Same problem with me and I have the same phone. MPX220. It was working fine for me last night and I could create new tasks. Now today as soon as I am half way through entering a task it exits.

It also seems to exit even if it is just sitting with nothing going on. Seems like after about 1 minute or so.

I timed it and it is more like 15-20sec. Pretty consistent and it does not seem to care what you are doing at the time... entering data, idling whatever.

I also have Power Calendar installed on the same phone and it is doing the same thing today. Same timing, same problem. Both these programs were working fine last night so I don't understand what happened to them. I managed to register them fine which I know took longer than 20sec.

I can't believe these programs won't work properly. I should have checked in here before buying them I guess.

More info to help if tech support is actually trying to troubleshoot this....

Did more checking and saw that there was a fix for the Calendar program (v2.60). Installed this over my v2.51 and this fixed the calendar program so it would not keep exiting.

Next I opened the task program to see if any change to its performance... and there was none. Same problem as before.

Next I opened the calendar program and created a new task using its interface. I notived that this did not timeout while I was entering a task. It took me a minute or more to create it and it worked fine.

Next, closed the calendar program and opened the task program. The new task was there (it is the only one since I had no other tasks created previous to this) and now the program does not exit any more. I let it sit for a few minutes and so far it seems to be stable.

So maybe this problem is related to having no tasks created in the database? Or maybe it is somehow uncorrupted by creating a task through the calendar application? Who knows but it seems better in any case.

I'll keep posting if more info develops....

We've just put online needed updates to address this issue where the applications would exit without any user intervention.

The latest downloads for these products are here:

http://www.developerone.com/powercalendar/download.htm

http://www.developerone.com/powertasks/download.htm

Some changes to Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition from earlier versions caused some unexpected behaviors and the handling of them, and did not appear to be consistent on every device running WM 2003 SE, so it took a bit longer to test and be confident that the solution we had was the correct one.

We thank you for your patience.

Please download these latest updates to resolve this issue.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Downloaded the trial (still have 9 days left), the smartphone has the latest microsoft version......

Seem to be exactly the same problem that has been described previously with calander as well !!!

Any thoughts?

Another person is having the same issue that posted recently in the power calander big area.....not sure where to go from here.

Love the product however....
