It would be a big help to me if I could search the notes fields in CONTACTS

The Agenda One search tool does search the Contacts notes field. The search tool is one of the views if you have not used it before. Choose the View softkey, then the magifying glass icon. You may also want to check the setting in the Search View to be sure it is set to Search Type: Includes. From the Search view, choose Menu > Options, then scroll down to find and open 'Search Type' to see that.
