Why can't I install CodeWallet to my device with the Desktop installer on Vista?
Scenario 1: Customer has Vista PC and wants to install CodeWallet to mobile device only. Installer does not send application to mobile device. This is caused by Windows Mobile Device Center not being fully installed. Windows Mobile Device Center allows you to install applications to your mobile device and sync your Calendar, Tasks and Contacts. To resolve the problem you can follow one of the three solutions below:
A) (Recommended) Disconnect your device from the PC/Laptop. Install Windows Mobile Device Center from the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx After you accept the licensing agreement, the device center should be fully installed. You should then be able to cradle your device and run the installer again which should now install the application on your mobile device. OR B) Install CAB File directly to device by clicking on the proper CAB file shortcut from the browser on your device: For Example: http://banana.itobin.com/downloads/devonecwpro2006_wm5_614.cab OR C) Copy the CAB file from your Desktop to your Mobile Device and then use the File Explorer on your device to launch the CAB installer.
