Shortcut for "New Appointment" or "New Task"?

Is there a PowerCalendar command line switch that I could use in a shortcut that would automatically bring up the new appointment/task entry dialog? The "New" menu is something I really miss since migrating from PPC to smartphone. (Another is the ability to specify the snooze interval when an alarm is displayed! Talk about your basic functionality!)
