You can modify the registry to change the default calendar / tasks / internet, etc. applications.

To change the default calendar program, open a registry editor and browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCALENDAR

you will see a value titled "1"

change the string associated with the value "1" to the path of the calendar program. make sure you use quotation marks. for example, "\Storage\Program Files\New Calendar Program.exe"

This will change the default calendar application called from the homescreen and the start menu. This also changes the calendar application called from the call progress screen and everywhere else the default calendar would have been called. Doing this will disable the built in calendar program all together. You can still access the microsoft calendar, however you would need to make a new shortcut for it.

This also works for the :MSTASKS field for the default tasks application. Hope this helps.

rember that when you change the string should you need to return it to its default status you keep a copy of the original string in this case I believe it is

:MSPOUTLOOK calendar
messing with your registry can give a you an expensive paperwieght so beware.
